Competitions
Leading the pack with the Pavilion, Woodchop and Rodeo, the Goulburn Show’s competitions turn country skill and spirit into serious local-legend status. Beaut utes, bucking bulls, jumping dogs and perfectly stacked hay – it’s all here.
It’s not all about country brawn, though. Inside the Pavilion you’ll find homemade and homegrown produce, crafts and creative skills, plus the Goulburn Show Young Woman – celebrating tradition, creativity and community.
New for 2026
The Dog High Jump, Young Farmer Challenge, Berry Buck Off and Haystacking are free to enter.
Click ‘Find out more’ for prize money, team info and entry requirements – then show Goulburn what you’re made of.

Pavilion
If it can be grown or made you’ll find an entry in one of the myriad sections in the Pavilion for it.
From fruit, vegetables and produce, plants and flowers to cooking, crafts and art. Juniors are included (from pre-school up).
The Ionie Atkins Memorial, is awarded to the most successful exhibitor in at least two sections of the Pavilion.
Go and have a look – you’ll be impressed by the quality of the exhibits, and maybe you’ll be inspired to enter an exhibit at the 2027 Goulburn Show.

Woodchopping
Watch Australia’s top axemen (and axewomen) compete in standing block, underhand and tree-felling events.
The woodchop honours our timber-cutting heritage and showcases the strength, precision and technique needed to turn solid hardwood into flying chips.

Young Show Women
The Competition aims to find a young female Ambassador for rural NSW and the agricultural show movement. It is open to women aged 18 – 26 years, residing in New South Wales.
