Goulburn Show Young Woman
The Royal AgShows is committed to engaging, educating and mentoring young people in agriculture through competitions and events with the aim to reinforce their passion for the industry and long-term association with the RAS.
With a history dating back over 60 years, the Young Woman Competition is a prestigious event that celebrates the passion, dedication and leadership of young women in rural and regional NSW. Originally known as the Sydney Royal Easter Show’s Miss Showgirl Competition, today the competition continues to play a significant role in the development of rural women and their communities.
The Land Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman Competition is designed to identify and develop young women and strengthen their interviewing, presenting and networking skills to position them for meaningful impact within both their local show society and broader agricultural community.
More than just a title, it’s an opportunity to become an ambassador for local communities and society shows, showcasing the vibrant life of rural living.
Finalists all display great insight and knowledge about the very real issues facing rural NSW. They are deeply involved with their communities and are dedicated, confident and fitting ambassadors for their regions.
The RAS hosts up to 16 state finalists who win Local and Zone levels of competition. The finalists then compete at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in a 6-day program, with the winner announced after the public speaking showcase in the Showground Amphitheatre.
